ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The final day of the Great Southwestern Antique Show wrapped up with something for everyone — and all for a good cause.
The annual event drew crowds not just for its antique treasures, but also for its wide range of offerings, including Indigenous artwork, vintage photographs, and historic collectibles. Organizers say the proceeds from ticket sales and donations go directly toward supporting New Mexico’s public broadcasting and arts education efforts.

“Antiques come in many forms depending on the material and age,” said show owner Terry Schurmeier. “Delicate textiles become antiques at around 50 years, while furniture and jewelry often earn that title after a century.”
Now in its final day, the show highlighted how timeless pieces can help fund the future — supporting both local artists and vital community programming.
