ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A vacant house in southeast Albuquerque went up in flames early Monday morning, prompting a swift response from Albuquerque Fire Rescue.
Emergency crews arrived just before 7 a.m. at a property located on Texas Street, just south of Zuni Road. When firefighters arrived, heavy smoke and visible flames were pouring from the front of the structure.
AFR personnel were able to bring the blaze under control in roughly 10 minutes, preventing further spread. Although the fire caused significant damage, no injuries were reported.

Officials say the home had evidence of previous fire damage, and investigators are now working to determine what sparked the most recent blaze.
The building was unoccupied at the time of the incident, and the fire is being treated as suspicious pending further examination.
