Alamogordo Police Ask Public for Help Solving Recent Burglaries

The Alamogordo Police Department is asking for the public’s help as they continue to investigate a recent surge in vehicle burglaries that began in June 2025. Authorities are hoping residents will come forward with any unreported incidents or video footage that could aid in identifying and prosecuting the individuals responsible.

About the Suspects
Investigators believe the crimes are being committed by a group of 4 to 5 juveniles, estimated to be between 13 and 17 years old. While clothing varies, many of the individuals have been seen wearing dark outfits, and some were masked during the incidents.

Key Details

  • Timing: The majority of the break-ins happened overnight, between 10:00 PM and 3:00 AM.

  • Days: Most reports were filed from Tuesday through Thursday, indicating the crimes likely took place the night before.

  • Primary Location: The central area affected spans from First Street to Indian Wells Road, and from White Sands Boulevard to Scenic Drive. Though most activity is concentrated in this area, a few isolated incidents have been reported outside of these boundaries.
