Delta Flight Makes Emergency Landing at Little Rock Airport

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — A Delta Air Lines flight traveling from Atlanta to Albuquerque made an unexpected landing at Clinton National Airport on Monday after the crew reported an issue with the aircraft’s windshield.

The Boeing 737-900, carrying 162 passengers, two pilots, and four flight attendants, was en route to New Mexico when the crew made the decision to divert the flight for safety reasons. According to airline officials, the pilots followed established safety protocols and landed the aircraft without incident in Little Rock.

Delta confirmed the issue stemmed from a windshield problem, prompting a precautionary landing.

“The crew acted quickly and appropriately to ensure everyone’s safety,” a Delta spokesperson stated. “We regret the inconvenience and appreciate our customers’ patience.”

Passengers were safely deplaned and provided with a replacement flight to Albuquerque later that evening. The original aircraft remains grounded in Little Rock for inspection and maintenance.

Delta also announced that the return leg of the flight—DL1004 from Albuquerque to Atlanta—will be delayed by approximately five hours, as it was scheduled to use the same aircraft.

The airline reaffirmed its commitment to safety, emphasizing that passenger well-being always comes first.
