ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Albuquerque Fire Rescue (AFR) was called to the scene of a blaze at the Crossroads Motel on Central Avenue near I-25 on Thursday evening.
Crews arrived around 7:19 p.m. following reports of a structure fire. Firefighters discovered flames on the east side of the building and managed to contain the incident within approximately 20 minutes, according to AFR officials.

The fire caused damage primarily to the east-facing section of the motel, affecting both the interior of several rooms and the exterior wall.
No injuries were reported. However, four individuals who were staying at the motel may be displaced as a result of the damage. Investigators are still working to determine what sparked the fire.
