ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A former UFC fighter is facing criminal charges after being accused of firing a gun from a moving vehicle, and newly released bodycam footage sheds light on the arrest.
Diego Sanchez was arrested last month by Albuquerque police following a report that he allegedly leaned out of a vehicle and discharged a firearm into the air near the scene of a traffic crash.

In the footage released by the Albuquerque Police Department, Sanchez is seen complying with officers during the traffic stop that led to his arrest. He now faces charges of shooting from a motor vehicle, a fourth-degree felony, and negligent use of a firearm, a misdemeanor.
Sanchez has since been released from jail under specific conditions, which include refraining from possessing firearms and avoiding drugs or alcohol as he awaits trial.
