Marisa Chavez was arrested over the weekend by police at Kansas City International Airport in Missouri. She was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant and is currently being held at the Platte County Detention Center.
Court records from New Mexico link Chavez and co-defendant Bryan Perello to the death of Adam Duarte, who was found murdered at his residence on Mountain Road NW.

Investigators say Duarte had been seen earlier in the night at a local strip club with Chavez, Perello, and others. Surveillance and forensic evidence reportedly place Perello’s vehicle at the scene, and detectives say footprints at the casita matched the shoes worn by both Perello and Chavez.
Chavez faces charges of murder and conspiracy. Perello, who had previously been arrested, is facing multiple charges including first-degree murder, conspiracy, tampering with evidence, and discharging a firearm at an occupied structure.
