Delta Flight Makes Emergency Landing at Little Rock Airport

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — A Delta Air Lines flight en route to Albuquerque, New Mexico, had to make an unscheduled landing Monday at Clinton National Airport after experiencing a problem with the aircraft’s windshield.

The Boeing 737-900, carrying 162 passengers, along with two pilots and four flight attendants, was traveling from Atlanta, Georgia, when the crew decided to divert the plane as a safety precaution. According to Delta officials, the flight landed safely and without incident.

Following standard safety protocols, the crew opted to reroute the plane to Little Rock, where it was met by maintenance teams for inspection. Passengers were later transferred to a different aircraft and were expected to continue their journey to Albuquerque Monday evening.

“We sincerely apologize to our customers for the disruption to their travel plans,” a Delta spokesperson said. “Safety is always our top priority, and we appreciate everyone’s patience as we worked to ensure a safe continuation of the trip.”

Due to the delay, Delta confirmed that the return leg of the journey—Flight DL1004 from Albuquerque back to Atlanta—would be postponed by approximately five hours as the airline awaits the outcome of the aircraft’s inspection.
