ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A fire early Monday morning caused significant damage to an abandoned house in southeast Albuquerque, according to Albuquerque Fire Rescue.
Firefighters were dispatched to the property on Texas Street, just south of Zuni Road, shortly before 7 a.m. Smoke and flames were visible from the front of the structure upon arrival, but crews quickly gained control and extinguished the fire within about 10 minutes.

Although the building suffered notable damage, AFR noted that the home already bore burn marks from a prior fire incident. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. Investigators are currently working to determine the cause of the blaze.
