New Labor Deal Grants Pay Increases to Albuquerque Firefighters

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A new labor agreement between the City of Albuquerque and its firefighters union will bring pay increases and additional benefits to first responders.

Under the newly approved three-year contract, all Albuquerque firefighters will see a 4% pay raise. In addition to the general increase, specific boosts were included for emergency medical personnel: paramedics will receive a 15% raise, EMT intermediates will get a 5% bump, and EMT basics will see a 3.5% pay hike.
