BERNALILLO, N.M. — Late Monday night, law enforcement officials in Bernalillo issued a shelter-in-place directive for neighborhoods located east of the Rio Grande.
The emergency order came as police launched an active manhunt for a suspect believed to be armed following a shooting incident near the Sandoval County Sheriff’s Posse grounds.
Authorities are urging residents in the affected area to stay indoors and remain alert while the search continues. Town officials stated that additional information will be released as the situation develops.
