ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A deadly house fire broke out in northeast Albuquerque Monday afternoon, claiming one life, according to Albuquerque Fire Rescue.
Crews responded just before 3 p.m. to a residence on McKnight Avenue NE, near the intersection of Indian School Road and Moon Street. Firefighters were able to bring the blaze under control within 15 minutes of arrival.

Tragically, one individual was found deceased at the scene. Their identity has not yet been made public. Officials confirmed that no firefighters were injured while battling the flames.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
